Mathieu Zahler, principal of MPZ Development, specializes in creating mixed-income, multi-family, and mixed-use residential developments across Massachusetts, working closely with public agencies and local organizations. Mathieu has over 20 years of experience in design, construction, and real estate development. Mathieu's team also collaborated with Capstone Communities LLC on the McElwain School Apartments, a mixed-income development in Bridgewater. Before founding MPZ Development in 2017, Mathieu was a Senior Project Manager at Trinity Financial, Inc., managing $423 million in projects and nearly 860 housing units. His earlier roles include positions at The Boston Garden Development Corporation, JJ Gumberg, Inc., and A Better City, as well as various marketing and design roles.
Jason Korb, principal of Capstone Communities LLC, has led $100 million in housing development since founding the company in 2010, with notable developments in Cambridge, Somerville, Brockton, and Bridgewater. His key achievements include developing Port Landing and Frost Terrace—both 100% affordable communities in Cambridge, and The McElwain School Apartments, a mixed-income project in Bridgewater with MPZ Development. Before Capstone, Jason was VP of Acquisitions at Beacon Communities LLC, where he oversaw more than $100 million in affordable housing developments. He also served as Housing Project Manager at Fenway Community Development Corporation. Jason earned an MS from MIT and a BA from the University of Michigan, with his MIT thesis cited by both Harvard and the US Senate.
New North Citizens Council (NNCC) has served Springfield’s North End for over 50 years, championing community development, housing improvements, and advocacy. Originally founded as the Memorial Square Citizens’ Council in 1973, NNCC expanded in 1986 to include the Brightwood area, uniting two neighborhoods under one mission. Today, NNCC’s board—reflecting the community’s diverse demographics—continues to provide neighborhood-based services and amplify local voices, with over 700 residents participating in recent board elections. Their deep commitment to Springfield’s residents makes NNCC a trusted leader in community empowerment and development.
